Campground Rules and Policies

To maintain a safe environment for all guests at The Dunes, we require strict adherence to our campground standards. Since we operate as a no-host facility, your cooperation ensures the campground remains clean, quiet, and secure for everyone. This includes following all rules listed below and any signs on the property.

Self-Contained Campers Only

Tent camping is only allowed with accompanying self contained RVs.

Notice! The campground has security cameras; you are and will be under surveillance for your protection. Any footage taken will only ever be used for loss/theft protection or recovery and to enforce campground rules. Breaking campground rules could get you asked to leave without a refund and could be punished with a permanent ban/trespass from the campground. See terms and conditions about the collection of private data.

Campground Rules

  • 1 No wood fires of any type at any time; propane self-contained fire pits are allowed.
  • 2 This is not a gun-free zone - we fully support your second amendment rights, however, there is no discharge of firearms on the property allowed at any time.
  • 3 No illegal drugs are allowed on the property. All alcohol must remain contained (for example, in cans or sealed cups). No glass containers are permitted anywhere on the property. Public intoxication is not allowed. Anyone who becomes publicly intoxicated may be removed and banned from the property.
  • 4 No fireworks are allowed on the property at any time.
  • 5 No digging holes or ruts, not with shovels or tires; pinning the throttle is for the dunes and trails, not the campground.
  • 6 The speed limit is 5 mph to keep dust down and to protect the safety of all campground visitors.
  • 7 Off-limit areas are marked with signage; please respect these. The roads up to the shipping container and cabins and the back side of the pond are off limits.
  • 8 Absolutely no "off-roading" on the property; if it isn't graveled, don't drive/ride on it.
  • 9 Generators—no time limits—be respectful.
  • 10 Dogs: Full-time leash rules apply for all dogs. Clean up all dog waste from graveled areas. Nuisance dogs (barking and aggressive) will be told to leave/trespass without refund.
  • 11 Trash, pack it in—pack it out. If you bring it, you take it out. This includes all dog waste. There are no on-site waste receptacles.
  • 12 Noise—all music is to be turned off at midnight. Conversation, laughing, storytelling, and fun have no end time.
  • 13 Pond, no fishing or swimming. The Snake River is adjacent to the property for those activities.
  • 14 Damaging or theft of campground property will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • 15 There is no RV dump or any dumping of black or grey water on the property. Weiser and Steck Park have a dump available for use.
  • 16 Have fun, be safe, and make great memories. Please leave our property just as you found it.
